For Those About To Tow

For those about to tow; We salute You!  On a regular basis we go to work never thinking of our car’s ability to get us where  we need to be. There’s a guy in a tow truck, he’s been waiting patiently for your car to overheat he knows that at any given moment his phone will ring and you’ll be asking for assistance roadside.  He’s not some ambulance chasing attorney, he doesn’t relish in your misery, but he’s there when you need him.

Tow truck operators all over the country wake up every morning chomping at the bit to get out there and make a difference on the roads.  No they don’t catch bad guys, and they don’t put out fires but they do clear the roadways when an accident occurs.  You are never happier to see a tow truck drive past you when you have been waiting for 45 minutes in traffic because of an accident up ahead.

Contrary to popular belief tow truck operators don’t carry guns and will not shoot you if you don’t pay them.  Most towers are laid back and willing to do whatever is needed to get you out of your predicament, although to continue a seemless operation they must be compensated.

The last thing you want to see is that little engine light come on when you are speedily slipping through traffic, ”they must be unemployed, why else would they drive so slow?”  You have places to be and you don’t have time to deal with such trivialties.  It never happens when you are at home relaxing it only happens when you are late to the most important meeting of your life.  When it does happen remember that there is somebody out there waiting to come to your aid when you must pull to the side and let the unemployed pass.

Weeeee, Saluuuuuute, Youuuuu!!!!

Very well put! i completely agree on what you just posted. I am always happy to assist customers when they are in need and will always try my best to make them happy. A key tip for this would be putting yourself in the customers shoes, while understanding you must get paid.

For example, I had a customer who called his roadside company needing a tow. Upon arriving, the customer informed me he thinks he only needs a boos but his roadside would charge him for the boost if it ended up needing a tow. So, trying to help the customer, i boosted his car and told him i would follow him to the shop where he was taking his car and said i would tow the car if it broke down, and just say I towed his car vs providing two services. In the end, the customer only needed the boost and he was very pleased with the service he received.
